Bio

Barbara Smith grew up watching her father, Richard, photograph and develop black and white film in their home outside of Pittsburgh. Being surrounded by this creativity throughout her life inspired her to pursue her own compositions with the camera. She was well known to carry her camera everywhere and continued to develop and perfect her photographic skills with each journey, sharing them with everyone she met.

After moving to Ocala 20 years ago, Barbara began to delve deeper into her photographic art. Already a successful entrepreneur in other venues, she was prompted to pursue her career in professional photography with much encouragement from family and friends. Her inspiration comes not only from "seeing what you feel," but also from knowing that she brings joy to someone's life with her creative imagery. Changing the lives of everyone she works for and capturing their memories in any sort of light is just one of her many creative talents.

Whether you need to record your family's first born or archive portraits for years to come, Barbara will share your vision through her art of photography.

Barbara lives in Ocala with her husband, Jim, and her cat, Chloe. She is also a member of the Professional Photographers Association.
